A designer's purest gesture is that which sketches a pure, elegant shape in just a few lines. Sandra Backlund offers her own reading of classicism, wrapping her models in a generous, frothy mesh. The shoulders and waist, but especially the face, are lined with waves of thick hair that retains its fragility, like a soft chignon.
